Aidexa is a bank founded in 2001 with the goal of supporting micro and small businesses. Its success led to growth in both revenue and staff, making it necessary to move to a larger, more representative headquarters in the heart of Milan.
The project, designed and developed by the TM studio of architect Tatiana Milone, was intended to reflect a young – the average age of employees is 33 – and dynamic environment within an open-plan office, where attention to acoustics was an essential consideration.
Architect Milone successfully combined elegance, dynamism, functionality, and transparency: in addition to the high-performance acoustic panels placed between desks, mobile acoustic partitions on wheels were used to create flexible acoustic privacy.
The skillful interplay of colors and shapes among the panels – four different colors were used – brought vibrancy to the office, imparting a sense of freshness throughout the space.
Even in the meeting rooms, where the transparency of glass walls could have caused significant reverberation issues, the use of panels on both sides of the glazing allowed acoustic performance to coexist with visual transparency.
The entire project, bold and daring, is a complete success in every aspect.
